Yeah, cliché title.. I know..
Well, I was on my way to a party yesterday and since I left home pretty late, the sun was already setting. I noticed this while waiting for the bus, and ran to the best point of view (a bridge about 200 metres from the bus-stop) and started taking pictures of it in all sorts of angles.. Took about 30 pictures, then my bus was coming and since I didn't want to wait for another 30 minutes, I stopped..
I chose this one because the sky really came out clear because the rays from the sun wasn't taking the whole attention (as opposed to the other picture I was choosing between). Worked with this picture for 6 hours, was going to make the "city" part black & white while spriting up the colors on the sky. However, after 10 000 ++ anchor points, I found out that the picture was to dark, removing the effect of black & white.. Should've checked that before splitting up sky & ground..
Decided to go for a stronger contrast, making the ground pretty dark. Worked a bit with color balance, levels and so on..
Final notes:
I'm really pleased with the skies, the sunset itself is alright (I guess), but in the end, this was about the skies..
The sad part, while on my bus, I saw some other skies which looked more or less like this, but I couldn't get off so I missed them.. They were sooo beautiful, I almost cried..
Comments, critics and potensial +fav's/+devWatch's are more than appreciated..
I think its beautiful! The purple in the sky is magnificent! -kia

As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
